Ugh. You’ve remembered to get your medical taken care of and now there’s that pesky biennial flight review. What a pain! You know you fly perfectly well and have not had a problem, so why do you have to do this every two years?

Well, to begin with, you don’t. There are a number of other things you can do. For example, Wings. FAR 61.56(e) lets you know that the holder of documented completion of an FAA sponsored pilot proficiency award program “need not accomplish the flight review required by this section.” The problem is that this will take the better part of a whole day, which busy people…
