February 18, 2010, Sacramento, Calif., Cessna 208B Grand Caravan

At 1840 Pacific standard time, the airplane struck a bird while approaching to land at the end of a Part 135 on-demand cargo flight. The solo commercial pilot was not injured, but the airplane sustained substantial damage to its right wing. Visual conditions prevailed.
