At 15:10 EDT, a Continental Airlines Boeing 737 hit clear air turbulence while in cruise flight at 29,000 feet, approximately 180 miles south of Bermuda. Four flight attendants and 67 passengers suffered minor injuries and one passenger was seriously injured. The flight crew and 87 passengers were uninjured. The captain said the airplane experienced two severe jolts that led to a descent of more than 2,000 feet per minute.
