At approximately 1450 Central time, the airplane was substantially damaged upon impact with terrain following a dual loss of engine power. The commercial pilot and three passengers were seriously injured. Visual conditions prevailed. According to a witness, the airplanes engines were making a “popping” sound during the descent. The propellers were turning and the airplane was moving at a “good rate of speed” as it passed through his field of view. The impact was not witnessed.
