The airplane sustained substantial damage during a forced landing at approximately 1000 Mountain time, following a loss of engine power. The private pilot received minor injuries and his three passengers were not injured. Visual conditions prevailed.

According to the pilot, he was in cruise flight when the airplane’s engine began losing power. He performed a forced landing to a road, but during the landing roll he noticed a vehicle coming towards him. He veered the airplane to the right, through a fence and into an adjacent field. The airplane’s left wing, fuselage and firewall were bent and wrinkled.
