The float-equipped airplane sustained structural damage to its wings and fuselage when it was unable to maintain altitude shortly after takeoff and collided with trees at 1440 Eastern time. The sightseeing flight departed from the Peace River in visual conditions. The commercial pilot sustained minor injuries and the four passengers were not injured.

The pilot stated the airplane climbed to approximately 400 feet but was unable to maintain altitude and descended into trees.
